The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORD) offers NORD Teen Career Camps (ages 13-15) allowing teens to gain valuable experience and explore careers. Breakfast, lunch, and field trips are provided. Participants earn a stipend of $30 per day over a three-week period. This one-week session is designed to give young aspiring actors the opportunity to learn the art of performing. Students will work on songs, scenes, dances, and monologues from three Broadway shows. The week will culminate in a showcase for friends and families.

At Kids in the Woods Camp, youth 7-11 learn about their relationship to the natural environment through arts activities. Campers will explore the 7.66 wooded acres at A Studio in the Woods in Lower Coast Algiers, make art inspired by the forest, and learn about related scientific concepts through hands-on activities.
