Legoland Discovery Center - Atlanta

Sponsored Review

By Suzette Wilkinson July 17, 2019

My 5 year has become Lego obsessed in the last few months, so LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta was a mandatory stop on our family road trip to Atlanta. LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is an awesome indoor playground for all Lego fans. It is best suited for children ages 2-10 but my 12 and 14 year old still enjoyed the visit and I will admit I felt like a kid again, too!

There are 12 great family attractions in LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta. This is the list of my families favorite attractions in no particular order.

MINILAND® features the city of Atlanta made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO® bricks, complete with with moving cars and trains and a view of the daytime and night time. The amount of details put into building Atlanta MINILAND® is certainly impressive.

LEGO® Factory Tour: This interactive exhibit shows the secret to making Lego bricks. My kids (yes, even the 14 year old) had so much fun pretending that they were making lego bricks, trying to follow the pattern to achieve the right temperature to melt the bead to make a brick.

LEGO® Racers: Build & Test: Both my middle and my youngest sons spend quite a bit of time playing in this section. They built and tested their cars many times.

Pirate Adventure Island is an indoor playground featuring giant Legos. My 5 year old had so much fun. It also includes a water table with boats for the kids to build and race.

ULTIMATE LEGO® Ninjago Experience features 2 new attractions:

  • LEGO® Ninjago Training Camp: all 3 of my boys attended training camp. They were eager to become Ultimate Ninjas. This exhibit has many interactive activities to keep your child active and entertained.
  • LEGO® Ninjago 4D short movie. We definitely experienced the totally-awesome world of Ninjago as never before in this 4D theater were you will feel as part of the movie.

The Great LEGO® Race VR Experience. I have to admit this was one of my favorite experiences at LEGOLAND Discovery Center. The virtual simulator truly makes you feel like you are living the experience. It was a bumpy but super exciting ride! This was certainly my 14 year olds favorite activity at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta.

Merlin's Apprentice Ride and Kingdom Quest are the 2 rides at LEGOLAND Discovery Center. My kids and I enjoyed both rides and rode them more than once just because it was fun. Kingdom Quest was my 12 year old favorite part of Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta.

I definitely recommend that if you are in the Atlanta area, you visit LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta with your family and spend an amazing day at this Ultimate LEGO indoor playground.
