Celebrate your Birthday at LSU Health and Fitness

As my youngest son’s 5th birthday was approaching, I was looking for a place on the Westbank that was fun and affordable to host his birthday party. I needed a place where my son and his friends would have fun and space to play and run. I recalled how much fun he had at LSU Health Fitness Parent’s Night Out, so I decided to check out their birthday party options.

LSU Health Fitness has a pool party option and/or a basketball/gym option, party packages start at 16 kids but you can add to your guest list. Since my son’s birthday is in the fall and we all know how crazy the weather is in New Orleans, I opted to skip the pool because I wasn’t too sure of having 20+ 4-6 year olds running in and out of a swimming pool, so we chose the indoor gym option. We will consider the pool option for when he is a little older!

We had a party room and the gym available for our use for 2 hours. All I needed to bring was the cake, decorations of our choice and party favors. The food is provided by Tiger Den. Tiger Den offers affordable pizzas, drinks, chips and more. LSU Health Fitness provided a host to help entertain the kids.

I believe my little one and his friends had a great time playing basketball, soccer and other games organized by the host. They ran around to their heart's content. The gym was just the perfect place to get all that energy that 4-6 year olds have.

If you have a child that loves sports, LSU Health Fitness is a great location to have your child’s birthday party. It is conveniently located in Federal city in Algiers, 5 minutes from the Crescent City Connection Bridge. LSU Health Fitness also offer parent night out days, summer, fall, and winter break camps, sports such as flag football, basketball and sports leagues for kids starting at 2 years old. Family memberships are affordable and they also have the option of Youth sports membership.
