Pet of The Week with PAWS

Find your new family member!

July 26, 2017

Pet of the week is our new featured article. Every week, we will highlight a cat and a dog that is looking for their forever home. All pets are at Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). If your family is looking for a new member, consider one of these adorable pets or stop by PAWS located at 455 F Edwards Blvd. Belle Chasse, La.  Tel. 504 392 1601

Fletch

Meet Fletch! He's hoping for a family of his own that he can love on and show off for! Fletch has been with PAWS since May 2015 and he is our most well-trained dog! He can walk perfectly on a leash, sits and stays until you say he can move, he also recently learned to release or give toys back to keep playing fetch. Although he has learned a lot, Fletch is clearly getting bored here and we hope he finds a family soon. Come see everything this boy can do and consider taking him home today! $50 adoption fee good for this week only.

Midnight

Handsome. Lovable. Friendly. Talkative. All these are great qualities in a cat and Midnight has them all! Midnight has been at Paws since 2013 waiting for his forever home. He tested positive for FIV (feline AIDS) which is an immune deficiency virus. It is contagious to cats but not dogs or humans. Midnight has so much love to give and he doesn't understand why he's here. Sometimes he stops eating completely due to depression. Some animals do not do well in a shelter and Midnight is one of them. He would much rather be in a home sitting on your lap while you watch TV or read a book. He's up to date on shots, microchipped and neutered. Come by Paws to visit Midnight!
