Do you have a summer baby? Are they baseball fans? What a better way to celebrate a summer birthday in New Orleans than at a Zephyrs baseball game! We recently celebrated my son's ninth birthday at Zephyrs Field and had a blast! We rounded up some of my son's best friends and headed to the field in a limo. The kids had a chance to take a photo with Boudreaux, the team's mascot, before the game began and they also watched the players warm up.
The birthday party area located on the left field, includes a picnic style table and selected seats. The view is great. If you choose to have your party at a daytime game make sure to bring sunscreen and baseball hats. Parties can be hosted at any game but we chose a Sunday FunDay which allowed the kids to run the bases after the game.
The party package includes 12 reserved seat game tickets, 12 tickets for food and drink, 12 gift bags for guests, and a cute Zephyrs T-shirt for the birthday child. For an additional charge, you can add a cookie cake from Fairchild's Cookies and ice cream. Also, additional tickets may be purchased at a discount.
The birthday child will have their name announced over the PA and placed on the video board. My birthday boy thought that was super cool!
Our party coordinator was really helpful. He was there to facilitate our party. I loved the fact that we didn't have a tight time restriction and we were able to sing happy birthday when we were ready and each child ate when they were hungry.

I definitely recommend a New Orleans Zephyrs baseball game as a birthday party option for your kids. The price of a basic birthday party package is very reasonable. With the food, entertainment and party favors taken care of, all you really have to do is show up and cheer for the Zephyrs!.
