The New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA) in partnership with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC), will host auditions on March 10 for its star-studded 2017 Tuition-Free Summer Intensives held in June and July. These programs are designed to give motivated students ages 8 to 18 the opportunity to study with a faculty of visiting and local artists representing some of the world's biggest names in dance.
The 2017 July Summer Intensive Artists will feature artists from Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE and Complexions Contemporary Ballet, including Artistic Directors Ronald K Brown and Dwight Rhoden! Past guest artists for the June Chevron Master Artist Series workshops have represented Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Limón Dance Company, and many more.
Auditions for the 2017 Summer Intensive Programs will take place at The Chevron Studio, Lyons Rec Center, 624 Louisiana Avenue (corner of Tchoupitoulas), at the following times:
